Trade has been at the center of human activity for millennia; in fact, humans have also been trading in some way, whether they know it or not. It is only since the introduction of the London Stock Exchange in 1773 and the world’s first personal computer in 1971, that set the stage for globally accessible markets:

We should not let these snazzy contraptions distract us from the journey, however. Trading is real and can have amazing or terrible consequences; the choice is yours.
